CAPTAIN COOTISE'S MAGIC TIME PORTAL TO THE MYSTERY OF THE SPHINX AND MARS !

It was about 1400 B.C., the younger son of Pharaoh,young prince Thutmose was
out hunting. He became tired and fell asleep around noon in the shadow between
my great paws, known as Harmakhis of Giza or The Great Sphinx. Oh yes, I am
the Egyptian God Horus, and am able to appear in many forms, but I think this
was my best transformation ever. Opps...back to the story...In his dream he heard
my voice saying, "Behold me, my son, Thuthmosis, I am thy father
Harmakhis-Atum-Khepri. Thou shalt assume the white crown and the red crown
upon the Throne of Geb." I continued to explain that I would obtain the throne
for him, provided that he in return would remove the sand that had over the
centuries half buried me. Thuthmosis rendered this service to me, and as
promised in due time he became pharaoh, under the protection of Re-Harmakhis
rather than Amom-Re. He also placed the granite Dream Stela between my paws
to commemorate the incident and honorME, the sun god Harmakhis who had
spoken to him through the Sphinx.

Now, legends claim that a tunnel runs from the Sphinx into the Great Pyramid and
that other secret passageways and chambers are inside, but Sphinx isn't talking !
Recently a few minor tunnels have indeed been discovered around the monument.
Some claim that the Great Sphinx was created as a mirror image of the lion-shaped
group of stars above it. If so, it is a symbol of those who discover wisdom through
self-contemplation.

A book written by Graham Hancock and Robert Buvaul argued that the creation of
the Sphinx and Pyramids can be pushed back as far as 10,500 BC using
astronomical data. Using computer simulations of the
sky, the pyramids, representing the three stars of
Orion's Belt, along with associated causeways and
alignments, constitute a record in stone of the celestial
array at the vernal equinox in 10,500 B.C. This moment,
they contend, represents Zep Tepi, the "First Time."
Zep Tepi, the first time of the gods, is associated with
the origins of thier civilisation. Zep Tepi is a supposed
"Golden Age" in Egyptian mythology, when the gods ruled
the world, and when human kind acquired the initial
elements of civilization, and is often referred to in the hieroglyphic record. They
show how the initiation rituals of the Egyptian pharaohs replicate on Earth the sun's
journey through the stars in this remote era, and they suggest that the "Hall of
Records" of a lost civilization may be located by treating the Giza Plateau as a
template of these same ancient skies.

Ok...in 1976 Viking 1 in the region of Cydonia photographed a head very similiar to
a Sphinx,complete with its distinctive Sphinx-like headdress. It is now known to be
almost 1.6 miles long from crown to chin, 1.2 miles wide, and just less than 2,000
ft high. Image analysts say the bilateral symmetry of the Face, which has a
natural, almost human appearance, is most unlikely to have come about by chance.
This impression is confirmed by other characteristics that have subsequently been
identified under computer enhancement. These include 'teeth' in the mouth,
bilaterally crossed lines above the eyes, and regular lateral stripes on the
headpiece - suggestive, to some researchers at least, of the headdress of ancient
Egyptian pharaohs.

It is certain, too, that the principal Giza monuments form an accurate terrestrial
'map' of the three stars of Orion's belt, as this constellation appeared in 10,500
BC. (see above) Who could have been observing the skies over Giza in 10,500 BC and
who, at that time, could have had the technical capacity to realize such monumental
works as the Sphinx and the pyramids? Egyptologists assert there was no
civilization on Earth at that time, let alone one capable of planning and building such
immense, well engineered structures. If they are right, why do the alignments of
Giza so plainly and repetitively mirror the skies of the 11th millennium BC?

Former NASA consultant Richard Hoagland is convinced there may be a
'terrestrial connection' between Giza and Cydonia - the region of Mars where the
mysterious structures are located - perhaps a common source that imparted the
same legacy of knowledge and symbolism on both worlds'. aegis of SRI.

Hoagland argues that the Face on Mars is 'not merely the image of a terrestrial
hominid...lying where it has no business being. One half (the right) is also the
perfect image of a cat; specifically a lion - the king of beasts. So the Martian
sphinx is in truth the combination of two "families": hominid...and ...feline.'integral
to the object.

The description also fits the lion-bodied, human headed Egyptian Sphinx. Another
coincidence is that the ancient Egyptians called the Sphinx Hor-em-Akhet, meaning
'Horus in the Horizon'. Horus - the hawk-god, the divine child of Isis and Osiris -
is a name derived from the Egyptian word Heru, which translates a s 'face'.
Helped by a mathematician, Erol Torun, Hoagland has also identified a number of
intriguing mathematical and geographical connections between Cydonia and Giza.
